Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) officials have cleared a massive area of 1032 hectares in Himachal Pradesh, India. Illegal cannabis in Himachal is a trend. The Ministry of Finance has confirmed this in a statement.
Officers of the Central Bureau of Narcotics have verified the intelligence and further carried out physical surveys resulting in the detection of more areas of illegal cultivation.
Subsequently, destruction operation was initiated with the support of district administration, Forest Department and the Police," words said in a statement.
The government is using GPS coordinates and drones to capture the illicit cultivation of Cannabis plants.
