According to the excise department officials, the collector Manish Singh has canceled the licenses after reporting alleged serious irregularities and continuous complaints at part of an operation by the contractor Mohammad Mujahid S/o Muhammad Rafiq khan.
The assistant excise commissioner Raj Narayan Soni said Besides this 16 other cannabis licenses were approved in the financial year 2022-23 for cannabis medicines production.
The collector said they were getting reports of cannabis shops adding different intoxicants to increase the effect of cannabis effect.
